How to be a Good Wingman

In the history of mankind, there has never been a victory that was not assisted by at least one other person. I reflect on every conquest I have ever embarked on and the sole reason for my triumphs has been because I had at least one friend to assist me in my pursuits. Think back to any boy you have ever dated, I bet you did not just lock eyes and fall in love forever. You had a loyal friend by your side to tell the guy about how amazing you were or to distract his girlfriend while you flirted with him.

I have provided steps below on how to be a good friend/ wingman in your friend's conquests.


1.) Your friend sees the object of her affection and you make the introduction.

ex: "WOW, have you met my friend __________? You guys are wearing the same color shirt you must have so much in common!" (corny I know but you don't have to be witty to be a good wingman you just have to be able to move your mouth!)

2.) Pretend to be interested in his friends

You don't want your friend to feel awkward if you leave her there so you pretend like you care about the people he is with.

*Side note: His friends will always be ugly, making it even harder to engage in the conversation. It would be too easy if you were actually interested in his friends. This is why being a wingman is the most selfless deed you can do.

 3.) Stay in close proximity to your friend.

This will allow your friend to pimp her game while in a non pressure situation.

4.) Have a back up wingman

Being a wingman is difficult task and you will soon tire of talking to this guy's unattractive and uninteresting friends. At this point you want to make sure you have a third friend to tag in when you can no longer take any more of their conversation.

 Although it is good to make sure you have some guys around you to give you attention, there is no more gratifying feeling than helping a friend in need. Now go out there a do your charitable deed for the year and show what a good friend you are by helping your friend to keep their pimp hand strong!
