How to perfectly execute the "LA Flake"

Living in LA has taught me above all, one very important skill. The LA FLAKE. I often times run into old acquaintances that I once found amusing but do not particularly care to make contact with again. As I cannot blatantly say this to their face, I initiate the LA FLAKE.

Step 1

Show an abnormally large amount of enthusiasm when you run into them.

OMG! HI!
Step 2

Pretend to be very interested in their life story.


Step 3

Make solidified plans to hang out! Say to them "We DEF have to hang out sometime! I'll call you tonight!"

*side note: I am aware that "def" is a very douchebag thing to say but if you are flaking you already are one.

Also, be aware that it is important to pick a specific day that you will be contacting the person so that there is no confusion. The more elaborate you make your plans, the better. For example: "Let's go to the beach tomorrow afternoon!"



Step 4

Once you have given them complete faith that you will be seeing each other again soon, delete their number and never contact them.


And there you have it. . . In four easy steps! :)
